Erez joined Greylock in 2005 and in 2006 was a founding GP of Greylock Israel. His areas of focus include: Enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, virtualization and enterprise applications.
Erez’s current company boards and investments include: Actifio, Zerto and Panoramic Power. Previously, Erez served for Greylock on the boards of Precise Software (acquired by Idera), Camero (acquired by SK Group) and ScaleIO (acquired by EMC).
Erez formerly served as executive vice president in charge of technology strategy for EMC Corporation, reporting to president and CEO Joe Tucci. In this role Erez defined EMC's future technology directions, advised the CEO and played a major role in the technical direction of the company's strategic partnerships and merger & acquisition activities. Previously, Erez served as EMC's executive vice president of open software, a business that grew from one product line to a multi-hundred million dollar level. During his eleven-year tenure at EMC Erez also held various R&D roles, he oversaw development efforts with strategic partners, and established EMC's first R&D presence in California and India. A holder of more than 30 storage-related patents, Erez also served in various development and project management roles at Silver Arrow in Israel and the U.S., as well as with the Israeli Air Force.
Erez holds engineering undergraduate and Masters degrees from The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
